Feed your spirit— Bible rich devotions & daily encouragement.

You shall be filled.

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled”- Matthew 5:6

What does it mean to feed your spirit?

In chapter 7 of the book of Romans, Apostle Paul writes of an inward struggle that is forever relevant to the struggles we face today. He writes about the spirit inside that longs to do well and to serve the Lord uprightly but there is a “another law” inside which he later names “the flesh” [vs.18] that wars against the spirit.

“But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members” -Romans 7:23

If you’re reading this, you are subject to the same struggle Paul describes. Have you found yourself torn between reading your Bible or scrolling social media? Being obedient to God or caving to temptation? Everyday we make choices; inherently contributing to the way we carry ourselves, how we appear to those around us, and most importantly where we will spend eternity.

Whether or not we are intentional about our choices, we are always making them. Everyday we feed into our flesh and it’s desires or the spirit inside that fuels the fire of God. This ministry exists to encourage you to feed your spirit; partaking of the things that make us less like our flesh and more like Jesus.

“[5] For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. [6] For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” -Romans 7:5-6

“[16] This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” -Galatians 5:16
